About Susan Herber
Faux Pawz Fine Art Pet Portraits combines both the passion for art and animals. Sue uses the finest materials available to create pastel, acrylic, oil and watercolor paintings, as well as pen & ink portraits to ensure long term quality. Sue's photography instantly captures those other vibrant, inspirational aspects of our world, for a lifetime.
Sue is a self-taught artist whose work is inspired by the unconditional devotion of animals and the world around her. Her art graces the homes and businesses of pet owners, dog show judges, dog breeders, boarding kennels, veterinary offices and dental offices across both the United States and internationally.
Sue began her art career as a child while in the crib. The walls near the crib were routinely "painted" with milk from her baby bottle. When not in the crib, Sue could be found in the family Dachshunds’ bed sharing a meal.
Sue also grew and showed African Violets with her mother as a teenager. This plant passion led to a former horticulture major in college. The major changed but, the love for nature's beauty remains.
The passion for animals, plants and art has existed since the beginning of time and will continue to the end of time.
